Managing Director

Mark Groves is a Managing Director at BRC Advisors in charge of the Encino office. He specializes in the sale of multi-residential apartment properties in the San Fernando Valley. Mr. Groves began his career in downtown Los Angeles at Marcus & Millichap in 2002. During his career at Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Groves received multiple Sales Achievement Awards and a National Achievement Award. Further, in 2004 Mr. Groves was nominated for the San Fernando Valley Business Journal’s "40 under 40" most influential business people in the San Fernando Valley. In 2005 Mr. Groves became a Senior Associate at Marcus & Millichap followed by his promotion to Director of the National Multi Housing Group in 2006 by closing over 20 consecutive transactions in 24 months. In 2007 Mr. Groves achieved exclusive membership in the Marcus & Millichap seven figure club.

During his brokerage career Mr. Groves has represented both buyers and sellers and has closed escrow on approximately $100 million worth of commercial properties across five states. He has maintained a closing average within 5% of the list price on seller represented deals. Mr. Groves has experience in retail and office transactions in addition to multi-residential transactions.
Mr. Groves received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation with a concentration in Flight Operations and a double minor in Criminal Justice and Business Administration from San Jose State University. Mr. Groves is also a graduate of the Reserve Police Academy, Criminal Justice Training Center in San Jose, CA where he spent two years as a Reserve Police Officer with the San Jose Police Department. Mr. Groves is a licensed Private Pilot and holds his Real Estate Broker License.

Mr. Groves is also a regular volunteer at Chrysalis, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals by providing the resources and support needed to find and retain employment.
